The Challenge: With the growth in demand, rising costs of post secondary education, and a demographic bulge in the youth population, young adults are faced with greater pressures when making the choice to attend post secondary school and graduate school. Because of these pressures, gaining access to quality information and admission to educational institutions is, arguably far more challenging now than ever before.

Our Solution: Student Circle, an Internet based platform, helps high school students and college students gain greater access to open source educational resources. Students are able to build an online profile, conveniently join others with similar scholarly interests, and connect with academic advisers. It allows students to connect and form study groups and online classrooms.

Students Circle Network allows students to

Interact and Communicate: Students Circle as a social network allows users to interact through chats, private messages, wall posts and comments. It allows users to form social connections as friends and group memberships. Users can also share experiences through updates as well as picture, video and audio albums. This will allow African students connect with fellow students in Africa and students from over 120 countries who all use Students Circle Network. Find out more

Educational Resources: Students Circle has over 10,000 academic resources resident on the network and in partner institutions websites. Students Circle sources its resources from over 200 Universities across the globe. Users can learn with other users over these resources and share their experiences, difficulties and solutions with users both on Students Circle and other social networks. Study Groups: Students Circle has over 20 academic groups built for both institutions and academic disciplines. Students with similar academic interests can join a group and through the group, work closely to learn from each other as well as from teachers who administer such groups. Group members can receive questions posted on the groups wall and they can respond with answers. Group members can also schedule a learning time or group chat to brainstorm on topics. Find out more

UNIVERSITY PLACEMENTS
We are partnering everyday with new universities to provide free affordable education to our members. They can transfer credits from Students Circle towards a college degree with our partner universities

SCHOLARSHIP OFFERS
We seek diverse ways to provide scholarship offers to our members. We work with sponsor organizations and partner universities to make this possible.

INTERNSHIP CONNECTIONS
We create internship offers for members. We find on campus internships and off campus internships with partner organizations.

UNIVERSITIES
Universities and Faculties in Universities can sign up for a Students Circle account that allows them to reach their students. The groups allow universities and faculties to tap into the power of our unlimited course resources and academic knowledge base. We offer universities academic disciplines that gives students the social layer they need over academics and education.

UNIVERSITY STUDENTS
Students can access Students Circle courses and groups to get help on academic help. They can also access resources on the go and learn. They can learn from other member students.

 

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
College students can take a 3 month introductory program. This program allows them use courses they will take in the university, helping them plan well and be sure of their chosen field.

TEACHERS
Teachers can use the content on the network to teach students in class. They can get more resources easily, as well as network with other teachers. They can help out students on the network too.
