In December 2010 when i founded Students Circle Network, I was hoping to build a network that will cater for the needs of students globally not just in a particular region. I started that journey with an amazing team and along the way the members have changed but the vision remained the same.

Students Circle Network grew from a little known network in my dormitory in North Cyprus to a globally recognized brand and social network within the space of a calendar year. I am always happy to mention to those who ask that we did many of what we did with no budgets for advertising or marketing but through grace, the belief in our goals and the resilience to succeed and now we have built a venture that is now sustainable.

Over the past few weeks, there has been a lot of buzz and reports on a certain project that I am working on that will be launched in the shortest possible time – Beni American University. I must say that I am humbled by the trust and belief that everyone is putting in me that this new project will be be a success and solve the problems that still exists in the educational market.

However the weight of this new project is quite enormous and requires me to combine my roles in Students Circle Network as well as my duties as a student at Girne American University (who i must thank for their great supports so far on both the SCN and BAU projects) amongst other responsibilities that are at my bay.

I want to use this opportunity to respectfully step down as the CEO of Students Circle Network. I will retain my role as the Founder of the network and will be guiding the new SCN team in adjusting into their responsibilities, getting to know our partners, clients and most importantly the users.

I will be spending my time working on BAU and stepping up to the challenges ahead.

To head this team will be Mr. Samora Machel Reid who will be in charge of of Technology Development, Strategy and Business Development. He will also oversee the operations and growth of the network. Samora has a background in Web Development and Management and has consulted for several businesses through his successful consulting business – Samora Ried, in the South American Region. He will be bringing these experiences to SCN and I totally support him and oblige you to give me all that support as well.

There is a lot to expect from this new team and I hope we all can be part of the success that they will be bringing to the table.

I want to say a huge thank you to my family, friends, my team both past and present, SCN corportate partners, the media and the SCN users who made my run at SCN a success.
